Welcome as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society, Tau Omega Chapter in Sweden

To become a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, STTI, and Tau Omega, the Swedish chapter of STTI, you have to pay: a registration fee of 100 SEK (the registration fee for the Swedish chapter); 200 SEK (the annual fee for the Swedish chapter); and $65 in SEK (the annual fee for STTI). The current exchange rate from $US to SEK can be found online at one of the banks' currency web pages or at one of the many currency dealers like the Forex Exchange.

The Tau Omega registration fee of 100 SEK, and the Tau Omega annual fee of 200 SEK, together with the 65 $ in Swedish crowns, should be paid to account number: SEB 5751-9621, at the Swedish bank Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken. This procedure is for the first year of membership. The following annual fees of 200 SEK for Tau Omega and the annual fee of $65 for STTI, should be paid to the STTI main office in Indianapolis, US. The Indianapolis STTI office will send you a Membership Renewal email annually together with a letter as a reminder of the fees to be paid to their US office. To enable the STTI office to send these reminders you must promptly email your name, your address, your email address, your phone number and your current job position to: siv.back-pettersson@vgregion.se. Your personal information will thereby be registered by Tau Omega in Sweden and will thereafter be sent to STTI's office in the US.

You are able to be a member of both Tau Omega in Sweden and some chapter of STTI in the US, you are then what is called a "Dual" member. As a Dual member you have to pay the annual fees to both Tau Omega and to the chapter of STTI in USA, where you are a member. If you are already a member of some chapter of STTI and wish to transfer to become solely a member of Tau Omega, you have to request to become a "Transfer" member. You will do this by noting it on your annual Membership Renewal notice from the STTI. You can also become a Transfer member online at: www.nursingsociety.org/renew
